Advocacy Project

Advocacy project, conducted from September-December 2009. Created by Peace Child International, the purpose of the project was to advance nonformal learning on advocacy among young people so they would become successful activists who could mobilise entire communities in their countries to face the problems of the future. Among them may be climate change, YPFOs, youth policy and others. 20 youth leaders trained first shall conduct in their communities similar advocacy programs with 10 participants taking the total up to 200.
 
20 active young people from all over Europe took part in the training sessions of London and Brussels that focused on building their public speaking and advocacy techniques, and EU institutions and their policy session in Brussels that took place in 5th of October. In the Brussels training sessions also representatives from European Commission and UN Habitat program participated.
