Anti-discrimination month

November 2012 is dedicated to activities combating discrimination in SSCW’s schedule.

Firstly, in the framework of campaign „ResponsAbility“ in Ida-Virumaal from 1.11-09.11.2012:

6. An Educational Seminar "ResponsAbility - It's in Your Hands" for students including visiting memorials in Sinimäe. - Sinimäe Põhikool, 6.11.2012
7. Round table: "No to fascism" based on the movie "Ordinary Fascism" - Sillamäe Gümnaasium, 8.11.2012

10. Celebration of International Day Against Fascism and Antisemitism 9.11.2012

Following that SSCW with a representative will take part in UNITED for Intercultural Action (with several Finnish partners including Alliansi) organised Conference, "Wake Up Europe: It's Time to Act! Creative approaches to tackle discrimination"from 12-17 November 2012, in Raasepori Finland aimed at sharing fresh strategies and best practices for the European antidiscrimination movement.. The conference is planned for 85 participants (living in the countries of the Council of Europe) who represent (inter)national antiracist, antifascist, refugee, human rights and minority rights organisations. Sillamäe Society for Child Welfare’s participation in the conference is supported by National Civil Society Foundation through the measure of SPREADING THE EXPERIENCE OF ESTONIAN CIVIL SOCIETY INTERNATIONALLY.
